OPI Site for MSW Training

Woodland Hills, CA – The Optimum Performance Institute has been selected as a clinical training site for Master of Social Work students at California State University, Northridge. As a result Allison Corson is the newest member of the OPI clinical team under the supervision of Jeffrey Kestenbaum, LCSW, OPI’s Director of Counseling Services.

Allison assists Jeff with therapy groups and counseling individual Participants. She also initiated a research project designed to evaluate OPI’s ability to help Participants meet new goals, achieve independence and gain greater self esteem.

“I chose OPI because I didn’t know a program like this existed,” she said. “Other programs focus only on why the client is there. When they leave the program they get re-involved with old social circles and fall back into old habits.”

According to Robert F. Fischer, M.D, OPI’s Executive Director and co-founder, OPI benefits greatly from having this teaching relationship with CSUN.

“Students can provide so much to our staff, stimulating them to examine what we are doing and helping us create unique and creative approaches to clinical issues”.

OPI is a unique, individualized residential, therapeutic and educational program for young adults ages 17-25. It is located in Southern California. For further information contact Anne LaRiviere, Director of Admissions and Marketing at (888) 814-5985.
