OPI Participates in 12th Annual Victory for Victims 5K Walk/Run

OPI Participates in 12th Annual Victory for Victims 5K Walk/RunNearly 30 staff members from the Optimum Performance Institute recently participated in the 12th annual Victory for Victims 5K Walk/Run. Hosted by Northridge Hospital Medical Center’s CATS program, this fun event was held at Lake Balboa Park in Encino, California. All proceeds benefited CATS, the Center for Assault Treatment Services, which is a program on the Northridge Hospital campus that provides services to victims of sexual abuse.

As their website explains,

”The mission of Northridge Hospital Medical Center’s CATS program is to assure and promote dignity and respect for victims of domestic and sexual assault and child victims of sexual abuse, minimize their trauma, and provide law enforcement with the evidentiary documentation to successfully prosecute perpetrators.”

The OPI team felt it was important to help support this particular cause since we also work with clients who have suffered from sexual abuse and traumas and believe they are entitled to the necessary support services in order to work through and overcome those traumatic experiences.

Not only was this a great opportunity to support a meaningful cause, it was also a chance for OPI staff to strengthen team bonds through giving back to the community and getting active together. We are already looking forward to taking part in next year’s event!
