Ben Moroski’s, “This Vicious Minute” Chosen for BEST OF FRINGE Extended Festival Performances

Performances extended for shows awarded as, “BEST OF FRINGE” festival appearances, including OPI Intensive graduate Ben Moroski’s “This Vicious Minute,” will be featured this month at the Theatre Asylum Lab, to continue on as part of an awarded line-up from a larger summer festival, the Hollywood Fringe Festival.

Don’t miss your chance to catch one of only two extended performances by Ben Moroski this month as he shares his award-winning autobiographical story with audiences in what he describes as “a journey about finding the strength to live the only minute we have – this present, this precious, this vicious minute.”

One of Moroski’s goals in sharing his own intimate story of a “jarringly personal journey through the psyche of the unlikeliest of ‘cutters’ – an All American Male,” is to help break down commonly held misconceptions about self-harm and to speak honestly about a disturbing subject that few understand or take the time to address openly.

It’s a common-held misconception with the public that Borderline Personality Disorder, BPD Traits and co-occurring conditions such as self-harm, often only affect women and not many young men, who sometimes go to great lengths to hide their struggles with issues like cutting and BPD from those around them, like Ben had done for years before getting the serious help that he needed to move past his addiction with cutting. We urge you to visit one of Ben’s performances if you can and watch the video snippet below, so you can learn more about this important affliction that so often remains in the dark with young men.
