Optimum Performance Institute now has an official Equine Ambassador!

Equine AmbassadorBecause Equine Therapy can be an effective, fun, and exciting part of helping our clients create and lead successful lives, OPI is now sponsoring a horse at Mischief Farm, OPI’s Equine Therapy Partner.  His name is Phantom of the Opera (nickname “Spot”), and he will be carrying the OPI message to an ever-widening audience, both at home and at local horse shows.  Because OPI uses many methodologies to help every young adult achieve his or her goals, we feel that horse sponsorship is yet another way to support the many avenues we use to help our clients achieve excellent end results.

“We have seen how helpful horses can be in the therapy field,” notes Susan Evans, Head Trainer at Mischief Farm, and Leader of the OPI-OPI Intensive Equine Therapy Group.  “Many of the young adults who have attended the sessions have made real progress in dealing with fear, anxiety, social interaction, and communication.  Horses are very much “in the moment”.  Because their responses are fast and obvious, horses can help our clients understand the feedback they receive more quickly and clearly.   This can be very beneficial when other ways of providing feedback for actions and behaviors may not be as successful.”

“Phantom is a great choice for the OPI sponsorship,” Susan added.  “He is smart and flashy, and always catches everyone’s eye, no matter where we take him.  He even has a fan club at our barn!  Now we will be able to spread the word about OPI when people ask about the saddle pad, so this will be a win-win situation.  We’re very excited that Phantom will be representing OPI.”
