Crayon Art

By: Jenna Madeiros, Director of Extracurricular Activities Department

Scott Adams once said “creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.” This week’s Crayon Art Project challenged participants to do just that.  Due to the mystery in how the project would turn out, some participants were hesitant at first as there is no guarantee in how each crayon will melt.  After seeing a few examples that the Extracurricular Activities Director created, their interests were captured and the fun began!  As their creative wheels began to turn, participants explored various crayon expression ideas and began drawing, gluing, and blow drying.  Below are a few creations that were completed during this week’s Art Club.  Interested in making one?  Set aside one hour and purchase the below mentioned supplies.

  • 1 canvas
  • 1 box of crayons
  • 1 hot glue gun
  • 1 pack of glue sticks
  • 1 blow dyer

Now that we have shared the fun, go out and try it yourself!

Happy crayon crafting everyone J
