Q&A with Jaime Jackson, Outpatient Program Coordinator and Life Coach at OPI

Jaime Jackson, utpatient Program Coordinator and Life Coach at OPI LivingWe recently connected for a conversation with team member Jaime Jackson to discuss her roles as Outpatient Program Coordinator for OPI’s Intensive Outpatient Program and as a valued Life Coach for the Department of Life Coaching Services. We wanted to know about any new understandings she’s become aware of while working with our participants and the approaches she has used to help them succeed.

Q: Jaime, we’d love to hear about how your experience has been since you joined our OPI team.

A: Working at the Optimum Performance Institute for the past three and a half years has been an incredible experience for both areas I support. Getting to be a life coach and help my clients figure out what it is they want to do and the steps it takes to get there is such a gift.

Q: What changes have you seen in our participants?

A: It’s amazing to watch our participants on the journey to their best life. In particular, it has been wonderful to work with my young women clients. I’ve gotten to watch many blossom from girls struggling to find their sense of self, to young women who know what they want and are going after it. It’s wonderful to watch their processes of growth and empowerment.

Q: What have you learned from the participants?

A: I learn and am inspired by my female clients to continually evolve and move towards my best self. They remind me that the same things I tell them they need to do often times apply to me too! When I tell them they need to practice self-care, be gentle with themselves, and show up as the best version of themselves they can, it reminds me to do the same.

Q: Any follow-up from participants you’d care to share with us?

A: It warms my heart when one of my past clients will reach out after they leave OPI to tell me they used a skill we practiced in coaching or to update me on how well they are doing. I consider myself so lucky to get to show up each day and do what I love, and I think that is reflected in my work and my relationships with my clients.
