OPI Therapist to Get DBT Certification

WOODLAND HILLS, CA---- Dialectical Behavior Therapy is one of many therapeutic services offered at The Optimum Performance Institute and now OPI is expanding this focus. Misty Furbush, MFT, OPI therapist, will attend specialized training for DBT certification to enable her to train other OPI therapists in this technique.

DBT is a research-supported treatment which combines cognitive-behavioral theory and methods with Eastern meditative principles and practices. It addresses problems in regulating emotions, behavior and thinking.

The training will be done at the Portland Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program in Portland, Ore. Ms. Furbush is Director of Milieu Services and Staff Development at OPI.
