OPI Participants Visit Aquarium Of The Pacific

Recently, OPI Living program participants enjoyed a visit to the Aquarium of the Pacific, located just outside of Los Angles, California.

The Education Department at the Optimum Performance Institute facilitated this outing as a way to expose and educate program participants to the vast marine life living right here in the Pacific Ocean.

We explored the aquarium’s three main galleries highlighting the major regions of the Pacific Ocean, which included Southern California and Baja, Northern Pacific and Tropical Pacific.

The group was also able to visit the many outdoor aquarium facility exhibits including the exciting Shark Lagoon, the delightful Colony of Magellanic Penguins and the colorful Lorikeet Forest Aviary.

We were fascinated by the vast variety of unique and obscure species of underwater animals and had the privilege of interacting with many of their live-action workshops such as the feeding of the Sting Rays and baby Tiger Sharks!

The program participants shared their favorite experiences from the Education Department’s outing with each other at lunch afterwards.  It was truly a memorable visit!
