OPI is committed to helping advance
understanding and knowledge about the unique developmental phase
called “young adulthood” in order to:
- Permit the development of more effective and relevant strategies
to assist young people and their families and,
- Enhance the spectrum and quality of care available to young
adults.
To that end, we are proud to have an advisory board comprised of
national and internationally known leaders from throughout the
United States who are distinguished in their fields and committed to
advancing knowledge and disseminating information about the unique
developmental stage we serve.
This is accomplished through the format of annual conferences and
distribution of literature. Our Board Members provide unique
perspectives on topics ranging from the physiological and
psychological to the social/communal/spiritual dimensions of the
young adult transitional phase.
